Essentia in the news: Recapping media coverage from November
November 29, 2024 By: Caitlin Pallai
Every November, Essentia Health joins others in recognizing and celebrating National Rural Health Day.
As a leader in rural health care, Essentia understands the challenges faced by our rural communities, including access to the right level of care at the right time and as close to home as possible.
We were proud to highlight our new Mobile Mammography Unit, which now rotates among several of the rural communities we are honored to serve. In Wahpeton, North Dakota, we introduced walk-in services and celebrated one of our newest family medicine providers, who is excited to practice in a smaller community.
We also focused on seasonal health topics, offering valuable advice on managing asthma and allergies during winter. Our experts shared insights on staying fit and healthy — including mental health — during the holiday season, emphasizing the importance of preventive care.
Additionally, we addressed critical public health issues, such as the rise in whooping cough cases and the importance of lung cancer screenings during Lung Cancer Awareness Month.
These stories reflect our ongoing mission to enhance the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
Each month, we share some of our favorite Essentia-related stories on the Newsroom. Here are a few of the highlights from November; please note that some of these stories require log-in credentials and thus may not be accessible for all.
