Kirsten Stone received her Doctor of Pharmacy (2002) degree from the University of MN, Twin Cities Campus. After graduation, she practiced in retail pharmacy for 12 years and advanced her career by seeking management opportunities and leadership training. In 2014, she joined the Essentia Pharmacy team and in her current role, she has direct oversight of the Essentia Health Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy team. As a mentor, APPE preceptor, and residency preceptor, she is excited to take on the responsibilities in her new role as Residency Program Director. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two children.

 

Krista Rouse, PharmD, BCACP

Krista Rouse received her Doctor of Pharmacy (2010) degree from the University of MN and completed her pharmacy PGY-1 residency (2011) at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN. She joined Essentia Health in 2011 as a Pharmacist Clinician. Her primary practice site is in the internal medicine department at the Duluth Clinic where she provides medication therapy management services along with chronic disease management through collaborative practice. Dr. Rouse serves as a preceptor for both pharmacy residents and Pharm.D. students during their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience. Her interests include chronic disease management by ensuring patients are educated about the proper use of their medications and expanding the role of the pharmacist in the healthcare system. In her free time, she enjoys running, outdoor adventures, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
