Rural Medicine Programs

Prepare yourself for family medicine practice in a rural community with specialized graduate medical education at Essentia. • Duluth Family Medicine Residency Program – A community-based, three-year residency program offered collaboratively by Essentia Health, St. Luke’s, and the University of Minnesota
• Family Medicine Obstetric Fellowship – A one-year fellowship that prepares family medicine physicians to manage high-risk pregnancies and provide cesarean sections
• University of Minnesota General Surgery Residency Rural Training Track – A collaborative rural general surgery residency training program between the University of Minnesota and Essentia Health.
