Dr. Anthony Burrows grew up in Northeast Wisconsin and served as an artillery sergeant in the army prior to college. He worked as an EMT while attending the University of Massachusetts Boston. Dr. Burrows graduated with a degree in Biochemistry in 2006 and worked for a medical device start up prior to attending the University of Massachusetts Medical School from 2007-2011.
He was a resident in neurological surgery at Mayo Clinic Rochester from 2011-2018 and was an assistant professor of neurological surgery practicing in the Mayo Clinic Health system from 2018-2021. Dr. Burrows decided that he needed better winters and moved to Duluth in 2022.
Dr. Burrows has been married and has 4 kids that play hockey, lacrosse, soccer, figure skating, art, acting, fencing, and karate. He enjoys driving his kids to all those things. Hobbies include hiking, camping on the north shore, and running Grandma's Marathon each year.
