Bio

Jay Schmitz, DPT is Physical Therapist who joined Essentia Health in 2012. Jay earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Dakota. Jay works primarily with outpatient orthopedics, spine care and sport- related injuries. He has specialized skills in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and post operative orthopedic care. He has a certification in ASTYM, which is a tool assisted manual therapy approach, and he is dry needling certified.

Jay enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, hunting and fishing.
