Bio

Jessica Koponen, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist. She joined Essentia Health in 2020. She earned her Bachelor degree in Human Performance and Fitness from Northern State University in Aberdeen SD, where she was also a member of the women's basketball team. After graduation from NSU she started graduate school at the University of North Dakota where she earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy degree in 2020.

Jessica specializes in working with adults in the acute care setting. Jessica values independence and strives to help her patients become as independent as possible in order to participate in their meaningful occupations. She especially enjoys working with patients who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries and neurological conditions.

In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time at the lake with her husband, family and friends, as well as hot yoga and taking care of her many plants.
