Karen Hanka, DPT is a physical therapist. She joined Essentia Health in 2007.
Karen earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001 in Kinesiology-Exercise Science. She received her doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Washington in St. Louis in 2004.
Karen specializes in neurological rehabilitation with a special interest in dizziness and balance. She recently attended the International Conference for Vestibular Rehabilitation with presenters from around the world leading in vestibular rehabilitation and research. She has completed instruction in High-Intensity Gait Training and frequently applies the principles to her treatment approach. Karen is also certified in LSVT BIG for treatment and rehabilitation of Parkinson’s Disease.
