Insurance Coverage

See what insurance plans are accepted at Essentia Health. For questions about your insurance coverage, contact your insurance company.

Balance Billing (Surprise Billing)

You are protected from balance billing (sometimes called surprise billing) when:

• You get emergency care, or
• You are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center.

Essentia Health Billing & Collections Policy

Essentia Health will promptly and accurately submit health insurance claims and/or work with you to establish a reasonable payment plan for any portion of a bill you’re expected to pay. If you don’t submit a Financial Assistance Program application, make a reasonable payment agreement, or meet your financial responsibilities, collection activities will occur.
